I went out after all. Saw a tweet from a web series producer I know asking if anyone wanted to join them so I went out. Had a very pleasant time talking to them and wasn't all self-conscious and feeling inferior as I often can be in crowds/parties. Phew. Nice to use the car to its fullest.
If you can read office politics, sarameg, I admire you even more than I already do. That is an arcane field of necromancy I have never been able to pierce.
Belatedly, Grace's giggling great. In terms of water reclamation: we have that law in Washington State, but it has been publicly proclaimed that it won't be enforced against residences. I think there is also a tendency to be reasonable in the case of non-residential buildings as well. Basically require the permit, make sure it will do no harm and grant pretty fast if it won't. (
Now I'm really curious as to whether we have that law in CA. It seems ridiculous. Having rain barrels and using that water to irrigate would actually be a step FORWARD.
Perseids really putting on a show tonight!
Sophia's the lost Plantagenet heir! Don't tell the Windsors.

My house is really starting to take shape. Things are finding their places. My main food prep area was cleaned up last night, so I came into a kitchen with at least one area that looks like I want it to and I just got my coffee right away to start the day. happy making.

I hope to do a lot of work in my bedroom this weekend. Things are seriously just piled up in there and that is not good for relaxing and calm.

locked out of my work applications again. They restored my access yesterday, but something happened since, I guess. Really wish people would get their shit together.

My co. built an office tower in midtown in NY recently and one of the awesome things about it is that it collects rainwater from the roof and runoff from the sides of the building and that water is what gets used to flush toilets and cool mechanical systems and stuff.

When I see my dad this afternoon, I'm going to have to ask him about this. He is a water reclamation specialist.
Skipped and caught up. Grace giggles are a lovely way to start the day.
