May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I got to sit in the back of the room, away from the main table, or else I probably wouldn't have either.

I can tell how annoyed one of my developers is in meetings by how heavily he colors in the lines on his doodles. But then, he's not exactly a repressed sort of guy, so verbal cues quickly follow.

Really good swim tonight. I kept forgetting to count, so I swam somewhere between 46 and 52 laps straight, in 45 minutes. I know it was at least 46, but am certain I repeated at least 3, and the others I am not sure about.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Unfortunately, I have so few meetings to go to anymore

Other than the fic example, this sequence of words does not make sense in any universe.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I wish I could knit in meetings. Well, I can knit in theatre meetings, but not "real work". Knitting actually helps me pay attention. I am not a doodler, as I am too self conscious about my drawing ability. I do draw diagrams to explain things as I talk, though. I end up with the notebooks with weird circles and arrows-- but I have a hard time explaining /understanding things without visualizing them.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I don't think I'd read fic, but I have totally been posting here from the BB during long meetings. And if I'm WFH all bets are off.

HOLY MOTHER. I just looked up to see Loki shoving a full pitcher of water towards the edge of the counter. It was almost half off it.

That would have been a goddamned mess. Stinker.

A long time ago, when I worked at a gift registry desk, I used to print our Pacey/Joey fic and read it inside a Bridal Magazine (which we were allowed to read for enrichment).

Also, I hate that making dinner satisfies my hunger. Now I have all this food, and do not want to eat.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Crap. Since we had a peeper in the neighborhood, I decided to check the sex offender registry. Top of the list--the father of one of Owen's classmates. The boy has been here for birthday parties and play dates. And the dad has been here once.

He's a life-time registrant--2nd degree sexual assault of a child.

I'm going to barf.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Holy crap, Cash. Yuck.

Yeah, I almost never cook and eat on the same day.

brillig

I'm feeling very nostalgic, it's County Fair time back in Greene County, Pennsylvania. 4-H competitions, the Grange ladies committing character assassination over the baking competitions, wandering the livestock barns and marveling at how big and gentle the Orndorff's huge Belgian horses were up close . . .

Aerial picture of the fairgrounds. It seemed a lot bigger when I was kid.

And the double-decker Ferris wheel was always terrific.
