Salad's usually more trouble than it's worth, unless it's dinner, including two or three kinds of lettuce, red cabbage, green onions, 'shrooms, shredded carrot, tender yellow squash and zucchini coins, two kinds shredded cheese, a dollop of cottage cheese and raspberry balsamic vinegar, no oil (can't do tomatoes, peppers, onions, cukes). Or caesar.
Lunch is usually a handful (6-8) of green leaf lettuce or romaine leaves and a boiled egg, a slice of cold turkey loaf, or a chunk of grilled chicken breast. Undressed lettuce is pretty inoffensive, and I can eat it out of hand and not wrestle it with a fork.
Marriage is a necessary defense of a woman’s sexuality and her human liberty from determined assault by men who would turn her into a slave, a concubine – something less than fully human.
I don't think my male husband protects me from determined assault by men who would turn me into a slave or concubine. Pretty sure if I had a woman partner she would help me fight off these determined assaulting men, or if alone I might manage to find a way to protect myself. Then again, I guess I have just been lucky that I haven't had to deal with these determined men who want me for a slave or concubine. Or in fewer words, @@.
Marriage doesn't protect women from assault. In many cases it simply legalizes it. That guy is living in a world that is not this one.

Does the CSM normally have a comments section? Or did they wisely forego on here?
What a lot of nonsense trying very hard to masquerade as sweet reason.
I have been working on making a salad all day. I've managed to wash the lettuce and, er, eaten all the carrots because I tried one and it was delicious and just eating them all up Bugs Bunny style seemed much easier than slicing or grating or anything else. I like salads, but I'm bad at the prep that goes into them.
Yes, I hate salad prep. Luckily, the French are all about one ingredient salads (lettuce, carrots, cucumbers,
or
tomatoes), so there's a rationalization for my laziness.
megan walker! I got a French-English dictionary for my birthday! It made me think of you!
I eat salad almost every day so I tend to have lots of fun ingredients at hand. Except today I made a tuna melt, which could be defined as salad since it included tuna salad with celery.
