Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds great all the way around, msbelle!

STUPID WORK IS STUPID

Indeed. Sorry.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Sorry about stupid work, Perkins.

Other people's days are sounding good, though. I'm back from a two hour flying lesson. 45 degree turns are loads of fun! I got to handle take off (a tad shaky, but effective), too. It was hot on the tarmac and less so at 3,500 feet, but I still came out of things tremendously dehydrated. Two liters of water and a banana-strawberry smoothie later and I've just about lost that hungover feeling. Good thing there's another day in the weekend, because I'm not gonna accomplish jack tonight.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Aw, such a cutie little foot fetishist!

That's a pretty hutch, msbelle. I snarfed the photos. We have a little wall jog just perfect for some sort of storage and display piece. Since I got exactly the bookshelf (bun feet! beadboard back! adjustable shelves!) I wanted for bathroom storage built by my wonderful H, I'm going to try and modify your hutch for our space, so he can build it.

If he wasn't so good at this stuff I wouldn't be so demandy. I'm going to try and get photos up of the bookcases he's built. Maybe before Christmas.

Calli, that's just so awesome. Not the dehydration, the other.

Oh, no, Perkins, you are working? Argh.

I am writing and listening to my iPod and thinking about going into the city, which will require me to get changed and all that. But I must go, because I made a pie, and simply cannot keep it at home. However carrying a pie on mass transit is never all that easy: I need a pie-carrier.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Woo, flying! So exciting!

Glad for the family of new friends, msbelle. Nice when things like that work out.

Grr for stupid work.

Sean Bean's ex's red carpet dress is really pretty. But not as pretty as that cute little foot-nommer!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I need a pie-carrier.

I will take the pie — though I do not know the way.

Thanks! I'm loving the flying. It's one of the few things that would get me outside for hours in the middle of an NC August afternoon.

So, we drove to South Carolina today buy mr. flea a new laptop, and we got a free iTouch with it. (Well, we had to pay for it, but we'll get a rebate.) I may never see my husband again.

We also got some plum-colored skinny cords for Casper, and with her new stacked bob, summer-camp tan, white Petit Bateau classic undershirt, new pants, and skull Vans-style sneakers, she is so amazingly cool-looking. And she's six! I was never that cool in my whole life!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

What magical store was this? (I ask, being about to buy a MacBook Pro, and totally willing to accept a free iTouch.)
