Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Hot men reading Jane Austen:

That pretty much sums up how I met my husband. We fell in love over P&P.

For me they are badges of survival.

Badges of survival indeed.

So yesterday I spent much free money in the form of GCs, including a new food processor. Does that keep me from wanting to buy more Nubar? No silly, it does not. However I'm having trouble with the site. Grrr.

Hey Kat, is Reclaim as pretty as it sounds? I think I want it. IF the site keeps giving me grief, I just might try to go by the factory and buy some polish.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, I've...showered. Soon to leave the apartment!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I have gone to Pilates class whereby I kicked my own ass. Now I am going to prune the front yard, but not until after I talk my husband into taking me out to lunch somewhere. I consider this entire week my birthday, therefore: lunch out. Also we are starting Atkins on Monday, so I need a last carb binge before entering the Land of Meat.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I have run, made an apple-ginger-lemon pie from my sister's apple tree, and cleaned the kitchen.

Now I have to decide if it's worth it to go check in with my parents given that I'm going to a potluck in the Mission at 4 pm.

Or I could finish watching Prince Caspian and write fic...

Just spent 90 minutes cleaning up CJ's room in anticipation of my dad's visit next weekend. Still need to fix his bed frame, clean his closet, and find a multi-outlet surge protector for his room. So much fun (not).

But for now it is break time. Some tea, maybe lunch, and internet surfing. Wheeeeeeeeee.

Punishingly Intricate

I have slept super late missing the yoga class I intended to go to, looked in boxes and failed to find my ninth grade diary. I'm looking to help me research a mix of my favorite songs from that year, a challenge for my music club. Went to staples for some things and now am killing time before a 4 pm yoga class. That is sure to kick my ass. Bob has been super industrious today, cleaning closets etc. Really good to see because it means he is back to feeling 100%!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay, Bob!

I had ice cream for lunch and am pretty much committed to sitting on the couch most of the day. I may find other locations to lounge, we'll see.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I couldn't get to sleep til after 5 last night, slept till 2:30 and am just drinking some coffee.

Ugh.

I have a friend's bday party to go to; it starts at 5:30, but I am SO not going that early. I still have to get a gift and some snacks.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I am back from an excursion to the SF Fire Dept Credit Union where we have opened an account as we have been unhappy with Wells Fargo and their fee-happy ways. Matilda got a little stuffed dalmation.

The downtown offices of Wells have a vintage stagecoach in the lobby, but the SFFDCU has a vintage fire wagon. Totes cool!

It's right across the street from the San Francisco Jewish Community Center which features an upscale cafeteria put together by Joyce Goldstein (a famous local restaurateur).

JZ and Matilda are off to cash in Macy's gift card on a fancy dress for Matilda for the wedding we're attending next week.

I need to watch two movies I'm writing about soon, The Innocents and The Man Who Fell to Earth. Such a trial.

But maybe some more of that tasty French onion soup first.
