My next project has an interior photo of a village in Northeastern France. The village of Bitche. Captioned as such.
It has apparently been in the book for at least 3 editions. Seriously? No one suggested to at least change the caption?
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Sure, but that's the sort of thing that inspires kids to be engaged in their foreign language courses.
My current Italian workbook has a whole activity about shopping for a cocktail party. No beer, but scotch, grappa, and tonic water. My boss barely lets me put pictures of wine in our French books.
It's ridiculously inappropriate, and I have no idea why my all-powerful, do-no-wrong co-editor didn't change it, but I decided to leave it because I just don't care.
Happy Birthday, Scrappy!
Yay, green card!
Happy birthday, Scrappy.
Right now is the first time since Monday that I don't feel completely overwhelmed by work. (I'm ignoring the fact that the only way to feel that way was to push another hour or so of work off until tomorrow)
I think I am going to celebrate by eating lunch somewhere other than my desk.
Wheee
Happy Birthday Scrappy!
Was someone fired?
No, so far as I know it was a standard ad the company sends out for printing, albeit to an older audience than the target of that particular publication. I never heard back about any reprisals, but they did send us a modified version of the ad film that was safe for younger kids.
I just didn't want us to get a rep for being the early childhood company that played Spot the Hidden Picture.
Run away, Perkins! Find a pretty place for lunch, even if you do takeout!
GOOD SHIT: PULP FICTION DUBBED BY DONALD DUCK AND MICKEY MOUSE
NSFW due to profanity, obviously.
"Descwibe what Mawcewwus Wawwus wooks wike!"
Heh.
Happy birthday, Scrappy!
I'm glad to hear your father's surgery went well, Kat. Also thanks for the Nubar PSA. I was already planning on doing some Sephora shopping online to use up a GC I have. Now I may need to add a stop over at Nubar too. But hey! Polish!
Also? Actual factual day off today--I turned in grades yesterday. Woot!
