Cindy, I know. But without K and the kids then I'm stuck with just my dad and that's a stress of a whole 'nother time! I know K can totally handle it, but it's hard to be the only one with no one for relief. She's been doing it for the past two weeks while I've been teaching and it's exhausting. I think if I fly I have to take Noah too because it's too hard otherwise.

FWIW, I didn't mean to be all up in your business. I'm sorry about that. When Chris and Julia were babies (and had pneumonia and RSV) and Ben was wee, both my parents got sick at the same time (with different strains of pneumonia). My father had a fall and ended up in the hospital and then a PT rehab, and since I'm an only child, everything sort of fell to me and it nearly broke me, so I tend to mother-hen young mothers who are getting it from all sides, but I shouldn't. I know you'll find your way through.

Snerk. You know, on the one hand I think that's great. On the other hand, I can't help but suspect that many of them got rich by underpaying a lot of people, or laying them off. I'm such a socialist. But goodness knows nonprofits can use the funds.

I had the same socialist thought, smonster.

I have also decided to try and be amused, instead of angry, at the people in my area who are very angry about a rate hike in our electric and gas bill, which has been kept artificially low by the state. Because they are the same people who are anti-socialism. And also apparently unaware of what socialism is. My boss seriously asked me why I continued working if I was a liberal-- didn't I think the state should take care of me!

Unfortunately, due to reading Animal Farm at an early age, I feel like pure socialism doesn't really work either, so I don't know what I think is a solution.

Ok- I am about to explodiate with RAGE at UPS. I ordered a whole bunch of clothes that I really really wanted and was looking forward to, at a HUGE discount. They attempted delivery three times. Each time I singed the info notice and left it on my door. Each time, I cam home, found the info notice on the ground in front of the door, and another info notice. I called this morning, because uaually there is a notice that they are holding the package, and where. Well, it turns out that I had to call them by 7 pm last night because they no longer hold the packages, and I needed to call the shipper. So I call the shipper, and they cannot just ship the package back to me, they have to refund me, and re-sell them to me, and I will lose my discount! Grrr!
