Aw, Liese.

So there was a hummingbird on my deck! Drinking from my flowers!

What is even happening?

Liese, you're so Liese-y.

Do big cats like catnip, too? Video says Yes! (Well, almost all of them, just like house cats.)

ION, of the good sort, my workplace didn't burn down today.

Coworkers next door smelled something off and on yesterday. Thought it might just be the toaster in the hall. Then today, both of their monitors turned off at the same time, and they share circuit, which wasn't working. Facilities came by and yup, sure enough, bad outlet. The insulation had melted off the wires and was dripped all over inside the wall. Nice!

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Phew, that's a close escape, sarameg. Glad they caught it in time.

I never ever ever ever want the halon systems to go off. They'd probably destroy the archive systems. And it would be my primary responsibility to restore it from the offsite storage. And that's something I never ever ever EVER want to have to do. It is the absolute worst thing that could happen. After I finished throwing up, I'd probably need at least a week to stop the gibbering hysteria.

I've never given it much thought. Then this happened. And I swear it took me most of the afternoon to come off the adrenaline rush. And it didn't even set off alarms. And we have fire drills regularly. But those are i drills.

Shit I can't say anywhere else: boy are my in-laws boring. Worthy people, to be sure. But BO-RING. And not very helpful with the kids.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I decided I would go ahead and upgrade my cell phone to a free phone, but there's an $18 "upgrade fee"! And shipping and bs. So my "free" phone ends up costing me almost $30. I guess I'll pass. Hmph.

What is even happening?

But Jesse, I thought they were giving you $25 to upgrade. Has that gone by the wayside?

Oh yeah, there is that. The website doesn't know about that. OK, so it should net cost me less than $5. I guess that's OK.
