I'm on the side of not so gross, like when it's better to leave maggots to eat the flesh in your rotting wound so the infection doesn't spread. It's sort of healthy, when the other option is spreading rot?
Yes! Exactly.
At least Fido isn't munching on placentas.
Bothers me so much less, assuming the placenta is no longer attached.
a) I don't want my dogs eating anything still attached to me.
b) I don't want my dogs eating my limbs
c) I don't want my dogs eating stuff that's rotting (because I'm a softie that way)
I'm not even sure I could let those fish nibble my feet. ::shudders::
I have a spot on my back that fish like to nibble. I don't know what's up with that. It tickles.
Spidra, that blouse and skirt sound perfect for a funeral. I think the main thing where funeral etiquette is concerned is not to draw attention to oneself -- something neat and clean that falls on the somber side of the spectrum fits the bill.

I'm sure the separates will be okay. I just wanted to start sewing something for backup just in case. Things have been tense around here and I didn't want my parents to feel I was being insensitive and balky.
You know what's the opposite of gross? Rick Bayless' cooking. Om nom nom. It's a good day to work in my office.
I've been wanting to go to Xoco, since I can't afford Topolobampo or Frontera Grill, but haven't gotten down there yet. I want to try some soup, so maybe I'll wait until fall.
Ooh, lucky. What did you get??
I went to Xoco when I was in Chicago for work last year. The pork belly vermicelli was AMAZING, and I got one of the sandwiches to go for my breakfast the next day and it was equally as yummy!
I'm taking tomorrow off of work so I can go to a doctor's appointment in the morning and finish off my project before class in the evening. Since I should be done in Skokie by noon, I think I'll be stopping by Cafe Laguardia West in Oak Park for lunch. I've been wanting to try a jibarito, and they have them there.
