brillig

I've been having odd dreams recently. Last night's was surprisingly odd: NCIS/Buffy crossover, with the characters aged to current. I didn't get a good look at Buffy, but Xander had dozens of tattoos from Africa and found reason to not have his shirt on a lot. I couldn't keep track of the plot, but I remember Gibbs saying, "Xander, is this where it happened?" which is when I recognized Xander.

The dream recorder better get perfected soon.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I still want to get FLYUFLZ for my car.

Connie, you do know that Nicholas Brendon is on Criminal Minds, and revealed a rather nice tattoo on his shoulder in one ep? Not NCIS, but at least it's another CBS procedural.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You know what I hate? When someone says, "Didn't I already send you that?" And I'm .... pretty sure they didn't? But of course, not 100% sure, so I have act like I lost it. @@

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I drove behind an EFULGNT for some time the other day. I can't help but wonder about the driver's interests.

Man, today is just a clusterfuck at work. People not knowing I wasn't here yesterday really didn't go down well. Like, CIO not well.

Meanwhile, HR needs me to prove that I have a degree. No, I don't have a diploma. Getting one will take days and cost money. Because they requested the background check wrong.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Eh, I suspect that the real ideological point to the donation is "supports gigantor corporate interests in Minnesota". It generally is.

This doesn't really help though, because it supports those interests against the interests of people in an income bracket likely to shop at Target.

Also, the dude they donated to supports groups that MURDER gay people overseas. So, yeah, no.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I didn't think they donated to the dude directly, but to a PAC that also supports that particular candidate. Splitting hairs, sure, but I want to make sure I have it right.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Yes. Target donated $150,000 (100 in cash, the rest "in-kind"), and Best Buy donated $100,000 to the same PAC.

Nora, is there any way you can arrange for your townhouse to be moved to the Chicago 'burbs? Because I want to live there!!! What a gorgeous place (I'm lusting after those hardwood floors).
