I wouldn't recommend frantically ping-ponging between caring for an elderly hospitalized parent and an elderly disabled parent as an ideal diet plan, but it has proven more effective for me than even Atkins. I've lost 23 lbs. since May and currently weigh less than I did in 2000.

Tomorrow I am going to the emissions inspection station and hoping they've got power so I can get my car inspected. (Deadline is August 4th, which is when we leave for Raleigh) I should also pick up something to wrap Gary's anniversary gift in.
Sunday we have ticket to the Nationals' game. Alas, we will not get to see Strassburg pitch(he's on the disabled list), but it's still a game. Then, dinner somewhere.
