Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Well, one dance in and the stereotypes are already flying fast and furious. The Can-Can? That is not a folk dance.

Well, I guess it's more a folk dance than the people skating to the Dixie Chicks.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They should ice dance to Jamaican folk dance dancehall daggering. I'd love to see that with less friction.

Per capita?

Yes. France is actually one of the lowest rates in Europe, except for the UK and some of the Scandinavian countries.

I didn't see that, but I think you could make an argument that country music and dancing has a more organic quality than the cancan, which is primarily a performance dance.

Our wings are not tired.

Yeah, as of 2007, neither U.S. nor France even broke the Top Ten.

France smokes less than other EU countries??

They even ban smoking in public places these days. Although whether bars and restaurants should be part of that is still disputed, the ban itself has 70% popular support.
