I am irritated by someone who wants to be a part of our nanny share (and who probably will be). I think she should be sucking up a bit - she won't be able to contribute house-space, she's going to start an hour earlier than anyone else so she'll encroach on my DH's morning, etc. - and she's not. Instead, she called and said she was going to join the share as if it was a done deal, and that she wanted to come over and see my house to make sure I wasn't a hoarder or anything like that. Ha, ha, ha. Oh, and meet the other share parents, too, of course.

Also, if flea is still around: new baby name (DH's cousin had a little girl yesterday) Elizabeth Maebelle [Mizrahi Jewish Name Not the Same as my DH's]. I dunno what they're going to call her.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

The "green" development at the end of my street apparently had a bomb threat yesterday morning. Dear dumbass but well-intentioned lefty freegan types - if there were an actual bomb, which there wasn't, those damn towers falling would destroy at least two fucking blocks of the neighborhood you are theoretically trying to preserve.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Can't you put the kibosh on her, Sparky? She sounds like she would be most unpleasant to deal with and will probably not understand the "share" part of the nanny share.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Friday! What are people having for lunch today?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I don't feel like I can do that, yet. She's coming to us via an alum of the share, and so the nanny knows and likes her. I don't really feel I have enough ammunition to mess with the nanny's livelihood at this point (we each have a contract w/ her, we don't split her cost 3 ways), but I have spoken with the nanny about how important it is that I meet her because she'll be coming into my home every day, and the nanny was completely on board. They haven't signed a contract, yet.

As my DH will tell you, I hold a grudge, so a bad first impression is tough for me to get over.

Eight? How did that happen?!

Wow! I hope he has a wonderful birthday.

Now tagless for your comfort.

My sister and I are headed to Southern IN for a funeral. A friend's mother died suddenly this week. She's an only child and grandchild. We're going to provide some emotional support.

A member of my moms group just had her baby. She named him Dean Jensen. I think that name would be appreciated.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

She named him Dean Jensen. I think that name would be appreciated.

That's absolutely hysterical. I needed a laugh.

My head hurts so badly I want to hurl and cry. I can't believe it's a 4 day week and I am this badly off at the end of it. I need to call in working from home.
