It's almost like work for an introvert to be social. Many introverts can be social for a while, but then need to leave and recharge.
This is me. There are times when social stuff totally charges me up but, for all intents and purposes, it's a drain. Sometimes a worthwhile drain, but a drain.
Holy crap, msbelle, you're going to buy a house this week??
Deeply awesome Old Spice commercial, via Jezebel: [link]
SO AWESOME. "Two tickets to that thing you like." Hee.
Another thing I've read is that extroverts gain energy in social situations and introverts lose energy.
That is my understanding of the difference.
Yeah, even being social with people whose company I enjoy wears me out after a while. It's quiet alone time that gives me energy.
Oh, also? I'm totally making a casserole for the first time in my life! I think it's kind of hilarious, but I realized that's where I was going, when I was stirring the bechamel and boiling the bow-tie pasta.
My coworker found a 20-minute interview with the writers of the ad. Turns out it was one take, no CGI except for the diamonds/container in the hand. Take 57 was what they used. The "shower" set is hoisted by a crane, the shirt that drops down is done with fishing line and has a coat hanger in it to make it stiff, the "boat" is a half a boat set on the beach, and they had this cart contraption that he sits on that wheels him onto the horse.
My appreciation of his ability to keep a straight face has gone way up, and I would *love* to see the outtakes.
OK, this is bizarre. There's a bobcat clearing our snowpiles out in front of my house.
But my fucking commute still took an hour.
I'm confused.

For a second, I was picturing a big cat, and not a scooper thing....
When I saw that Old Spice commercial, I was like, "how have I never seen that actor before?!"
Either we just finally got on the list or I pissed off the right people. But honestly? You can leave our piles. Street is passable, though the piles are high.
