Played with Kaylee. Sun came out, and I walked on my feet and heard with my ears. I ate the bits, the bits stayed down, and I work. I function like I'm a girl. I hate it because I know it'll go away. The sun goes dark and chaos has come again. Bits. Fluids. What am I?!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Scott was pretty blunt on that assesment: "As exquisite a skater as she is, I think he pulls focus. He's not as strong a skater. I think he holds her back."

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

If it's what I saw, that shit is B-A-N-A-N-A-S.

I'm sure it is what you saw. I saw it on national news. I was relieved to hear that my brother and parents were safely having lunch together far from the crash.

Watching moguls makes my knees ache.

It is weird how many people are skating for countries which are not their birth countries.

Japanese girl skating for Russia. Canadian guy skiing for Australia...

As a dual citizen, I try not to judge, but I'll grant that some of the affiliations seem suspiciously recent.

Is Buzz supposed to compete with Twitter?

Well, they both had good reasons.

For the Japanese girl they didn't have a strong pairs program.

For the Canadian guy, his coaches questioned his dedication to the sport because he was trying to form an internet business. The business was a huge success (Spam, though, so boo!) and he's still a top ranked skiier, so he had to carve his own path and go to Australia.

Frankly, the politics involved are not the international sort as much as the wicked infighting within national Olympic committees and coaches - not always in the best interests of the athletes.

Who is Apollo Ohno trying to catch as most decorated American Winter Olympian?

Is it Bonnie Blair? I think she beat out Eric Heiden.

Bonnie Blair with 6 total. But Eric was 5 for 5 gold.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Canadian guy skiing for Australia...

Hey, we'll take whomever we can get. Have you seen our Alps? (We have Alps!) They're half as tall as New Zealand's! (Ours have echidnas though, so there's that.)

Why do some people keep their leg up in the death spiral? Is it easier? Harder? It certainly doesn't look as pretty.
