"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Why do some people keep their leg up in the death spiral? Is it easier? Harder? It certainly doesn't look as pretty.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Who is Apollo Ohno trying to catch as most decorated American Winter Olympian?

I still remember him oas one of the many speed skaters who fell over to give Australia its first Winter Olympic gold.

Good times.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The most decoratededs "Oooh! Aaaah!" always annoys me a little. Some sports (most?) there's only the one medal each time. You could choke a coupld of times and still get the most if you've got several races. Choke once though and that's pretty much it if you're a figure skater or a decathlete.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

There was a Latvian speedskater who was skating both long track and short track, making him the first person to compete in the same Olympics in two different sports. I thought that was pretty cool to demonstrate that kind of range.

That's always bugged me too. But I'm not a big fan of most of the sprinting races in summer or winter.

I loved that skier Hannah Kearney said the one thing she really wanted to see was skating because that epitomized the Winter Olympics for her.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

But Eric was 5 for 5 gold.

As Emmett would say: "Beast mode!"

And Heiden won at both sprints and long distances.

He's still a legend in the Netherlands.

(Plus, a doctor! From Stanford! Oooh, Debi Thomas flashback...)

He was one of the doctors for the American speed skater who had that horrible injury.

I wish they were talking more about the equipment. I love that stuff.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Surprise, the scoring is controversial again.
