Zoe: Yeah? Thought you'd get land crazy that long in port. Wash: Probably, but I've been sane a long while now, and change is good.

The hydraulics had a malfunction, and they were stuck underground for a while and one failed to come up at all.

Ah. OK, now I am headed to the farmer's market with my neighbors!

I should have had sara's morning motivation. As it is, I slept in and the painter came by to go over things and I was still in my pjs, oh well. I have started the great pre-vacation clearing out of the refrigerator. We had bacon and eggs this morning. Used up almost all the bread, saved just enough to make sandwiches for the plane. And I grated up the last of two chunks of cheese: part for my eggs, the rest for my salad at lunch. I found three things to toss out and have put a few things into the freezer.

Now on to packing. We are only taking a backpack each, so this could get interesting.

You and your neighborhood are adorable. (Cue the Mr. Rogers theme.)

We stopped at the hardware store and I got spare keys made. To give to my neighbors in case I lock myself out (I've been regaled with several lock out stories.) One'll go to the stay-at-home mom.

Couple are coming over for coffee in a minute. Only fair since I've seen the inside of everyone elses'!

Learned that this place was essentially unlocked for the better part of a year! They used to come by and set out bug and mice traps!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sara, you sure got lucky with your neighbourhood.

TV Shows on the bubble. Makes it sound like everything non-reality is about to be cancelled.

I've just discovered that my new, trial, phone is very nifty for Youtube vid-watching. So I'm surfing Leverage vids. Why do people keep shipping Eliot and Parker? It's starting to hurt my feelings. I will cut off the hair if he messes with that.

OK, I've officially had too much coffee. I have the jitters.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Eliot and Parker only works if there is also Hardison.

seemed to disqualify it, at least for the people who pay attention to the words. Anthem would have been a way better choice for many of Hallelujah montages I've seen.

Nah! I figure you can interpret it as the triumph of the spirit as this temporary thing that is never the less important and awesome. Or something.

Once when I hadn't slept in a few days, I considered starting a religion based on Cohen lyrics.

More food used up. Bags about half packed. Mac did some of his homework so we wouldn't have to take all his books. I ran out for med and more cat litter. Now loading up the iPods with new podcasts for me and new movies and tv shows for mac. t-minus about 3 hours until we cab to the airport.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I just saw the We are the World remake. My review:

Jennifer Nettles? Dead person? WTF? Rappers best part.
