Zoe: Yeah? Thought you'd get land crazy that long in port. Wash: Probably, but I've been sane a long while now, and change is good.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Hey, Nelly Furtado's first album was a gift across national borders! It's just once they tried making her a generic pop star that things went wrong...

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I shoud drink every time Costas talks about SOAKING IN THE EXPERIENCE. Twice when its in regards to athletes and/or countries that will never ever win a medal.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am weirdly reminded of a local beauty pageant I went to in Nova Scotia one time. I don't know why we went.

I saw UA and froze and then Hunstville. My brother is technically a neuorscientist.

Spent the evening next door, making pizza. It was gooooooood. Made feta, spinach, red onion and mozzarella. NOM. The soon-to-be four year old stole my shoes and put corn chips in them. Then put them back on me. And crawled up in my lap and made me play barbie with her. I think she likes me. My brilliant neighbor from the roof adventures went out and got her Veterinary Barbie today, which was pretty much pure gold to this child (and said it was from all of us, so I got many thanks and I now need to buy him beer.)

Since friday, I've been over at various neighbors 4 nights. Tonight one checked on me.

I fucking love my neighbors.

Because books.

sara, I was thinking of you today, listening to "Nolita Fairytale." It's all about how happy she is with her life, but also her neighborhood, and it reminded me of you right away.

This ceremony is ... long. The tap-dancing guy was sort of hot, though.

I love the tap dancers and the maple leaves I don't know it's long but it's so cool all the different elemtns and sounds and dances they've put together for this. Tap andacers on fire! Literally!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Did the Olympics turn into Cirque du Soleil Lite? This is a little weird. And lengthy.

There's just such egotism in academia, even among the nice people. Being in a room with faculty is exhausting to me now. All this jockeying for power.

You know, sometimes I wonder why I decided not to go to grad school. And then I remember this. It was a great disappointment to me, how much I actually hated college. In retrospect, I should have gone somewhere else.

Also, I didn't know Donald Sutherland is Canadian, and am pleased that I recognized his voice.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Donald Surherland comes from an important Canadian family. Have you met FAQwife yet? She can tell you all about them.
