You always think harder is better. Maybe next time I patrol, I should carry bricks and use a stake made out of butter.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

This raises the chances of us meeting someday because my brother and his family are in Raleigh. Excellent!

I like and endorse this plan!

This means that a NCista has to move to NY in order to balance things out.

But then one of y'all will have to move to San Francisco. And Austin will end up with another transplanted Californian! And thus the circle of life will be complete.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I remember it as a town of McMansions and winding roads.

Yeah, not a whole lot has changed. I forgot you used to live around here. I'm excited to hear that Cary is getting a sustainability manager, and I'll be interested to hear what that means. We work pretty closely with the sustainability office here at the University.

There are loads of McMansion neighborhoods around where I work. Sometimes when I'm driving through them I wonder "What do all these people do for a living?"

Do amyth's frequent visits count? And didn't we give you cybervixen at some point?

But then one of y'all will have to move to San Francisco.

Also, Georgia owes us a Buffista. ::eyes Ginger thoughtfully::

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I have an odd question suited for the Hivemind. Is it wierd to ask someone during the course of a conversation about goals and work and such if they plan on going further in their career? Like, would it be wierd to say (since it's on topic), "Smonster, I know you really enjoy your work in recycling and reducing waste. Is being a sustainability manager for a city or the like something you are interested in?"

I ask because I remember hearing somewhere (probably my own ass) that is was impolite and insulting to imply that the other person should do "more".

Does any of that make sense? I may have Snow Brain.

Always Anti-fascist!

I think anyplace would be better than here, but then I think of the snow...it's just cloudy as fuck here. Might rain.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Tempeh wings are yum. Fingers are slightly burned from picking up pan without potholder.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I ask because I remember hearing somewhere (probably my own ass) that is was impolite and insulting to imply that the other person should do "more".

I would imagine there's a difference between, "Don't you want a promotion???" and "Is that something you're interested in?"

I find serious conversations about work with friends to be super-interesting and informative, myself.
