Snowverkill has dropped about 4-5 inches of the white stuff this morning. The total accumulation is not as much as I expected, but it is icy, heavy stuff and a snowball to the face would draw blood. Because the baby was up at 4 am, I have already shoveled the walks (not attempting the driveway).
The dog is slowly going insane, but yesterday I bought a marrow bone and a new toy for her and those should help slow the process.
We actually had an earthquake here this morning. An earthquake! 4.5 or thereabouts. It hit out towards where Sumi is, so she might have felt something. What's with all this shifty-crazy weather and stuff?
aurelia, where and when is your show? I'd love to check it out.
It's, um, cold here, for Georgia? Below freezing! Yeah, I got nothin' on the crazy weather front.
I do have crocus and dutch iris in bloom!
What's with all this shifty-crazy weather and stuff?
I think MiracleMan must be testing the transporter. We've got Buffalo's weather and you've got LA's earthquakes.
We didn't get much snow overnight, but now it's starting to pick up: [link]
just started a bunch of new facebook scrabble games. i apologize in advance for being online mostly late at night.
Dueling snow photos! [link]
Nasty out there. Think I'll go back to bed.
I got woken up by a little earthquake this morning!
Anyone else feel it?
(The center was in Sycamore - which is only about 10 miles away from me.)
This was my second quake: the first one was in Champagne in the 80s. Also tiny by the standards of people who live where quakes are the norm. (This morning's was 4.something on the Richter scale.)
like Tom said, not much overnight, but coming down now. They say blizzard conditions until 6pm. I had planned to go in to work, but not so sure now. I do have a 4:15 dr appt I need to keep, so I will be going out at some point. grump.
better shower and just get moving. a day stuck in the house with mac will drive me crazier than normal.
