I would be so psyched for a snow day tomorrow! Not that it would affect me personally, but my meetings would be cancelled, allowing for a mid-afternoon pedicure.
Natter 65: Speed Limit Enforced by Aircraft
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I don't get it. I listened to New Guy make a meeting for 7:30 this morning. If I were totally suspicious I'd think that the developer deliberately chose a time New Guy wouldn't make. New Guy? Didn't make it.
New Guy is also working in Boss's office while Boss isn't here. Probably nothing that will get back to Boss, but really? Really?
What did get back to Boss was New Guy being late for yesterday's appreciation lunch. Lunch with Boss's Boss and you mess with start time? Really? Really?
Oh, New Guy.
Yes, you should have a packed lunch for the train.
Definitely. You don't want to be forced into eating the other passengers for survival.
New Guy should totally be a skit on SNL!!
SciFi valentines: To Get No Valentines . . . Would Be A Disaster!!!
And this Australian Open it looks like his countrymen picked Federer to cheer for over him.
Well c'mon, it's Federer. I might love Hewitt's name, but I just love Federer.
New Guy should totally be a skit on SNL!!
Or a character on The Office.
I just got back from my massage. As god is my witness, I will never go massage-less again!
Is New Guy Tino's cousin?
I will note that usual benefits touted for telco dereg, cell phones, broad band and so forth were achieved in many other nations WITHOUT dereg. Dereg is one path, and a lot of nations took it, but there are other paths that work as well or better. I will note that broadband in the U.S. is slower than in many other nations, and is not available everywhere
Just a note, and I know deregulation is not a riveting topic, had the Bush Administration not reclassified cable and telephone lines in 2002, telco deregulation probably would be delivering better service. The 2002 legislation made it so that cable and telephone lines didn't have to be able to be leased out to competing ISPs and therefore removed a lot of competition from the market.
Crap, even when I'm trying to make a case for conservative policy I end up blaming Bush for stuff. OTOH, there are plenty of conservatives who weren't happy with the Bush admin.
