This is what happens to me in scrabble. 3 way game I got a good 7 letter word. then S gets a7 letter word. My sister breaks down and uses 'fuck' Which is worth mega points. I have a bunch of vowels, but eke out a triple word score to maintain my lead. Now my letters read:

My seven letter word across two double word scores was SMEGMAS. I fail to have the polish my sister does, but I can get the work done. She's all "I hope you feel better now." Pfah. She'll still beat me. I'm the queen of losing after a big open. So bad at the strong finish. It's why I only play with her.

eek was how I was feeling when I saw 7 vowels pop up on my screen. I've beat my sister J a few times, But her friend S is just good. My sister and I played boggle with her on Thanksgiving. Once in awhile I'd see a word she wouldn't see, but I always missed the obvious combos.

I'm terrible at Scrabble (and spelling) because I'm one of those people that learned to read whole words instead of sounding them out. I will play for someone temporarily while they pee, but other than that, it's a bloodbath. See also, backgammon. Cribbage, on the other hand. . .
I do not have to work today, and I am hoping that the nanny's street is plowed and she can watch the baby this morning while I run the dog. Running the dog with the baby in the Ergo is not fun on slippery sidewalks and unplowed fields. See also, shoveling.
My DH is going to owe me big time for this trip he's on.
