I just spent 4.5 hours drinking wine with people I shoveled with. I love this neighborhood. I am now told I am in their wine night club.
They're both off tomorrow (one is a teacher type, other a professional viola-ist) but I have liberal leave, so while they make a Giant dash, I shall go into work for at least part of the day. I just need to leave the house for a bit.
You know, my current kitty maybe isn't as much of a mouser as Senor was. If there was a mouse, Senor would be obsessed over it, even if it went away. If he thought a mouse was hiding behind the fridge, he'd wait. For hours if needed. Whereas Squeeky is all, "OK, the mouse is gone now. Time for you to pet me while I sit on your lap."
More importantly, AGAIN, why the fucking fuck do they start comic book rings at a SIZE FUCKING 8???
(My *thumb* might be an 8 if I'm lucky. And swollen. NOT THAT MY GREEN LANTERNLESS FINGERS ARE BITTER.)
When I was a kid, it took about a minute for all the vacuum tubes on our TV to heat up before it'd work.
Remember how mesmerizing the dot was when you turned it off?
More importantly, AGAIN, why the fucking fuck do they start comic book rings at a SIZE FUCKING 8???
Silly, Ple, women don't read comics or buy geeky stuff, hence they start with tiny little nerd boy sizes.
You'd think teenage boys would have smaller fingers than that, though.
Also, I have no idea why I haven't bought this shirt yet: [link]
There should be a Bitch Wonder shirt.
Or this shirt: [link] Because -- Robin AND Green Arrow, AND Old School Batgirl!
Plastic Man is just a bonus, and I can overlook Hawkman.
this shirt
OH MY GODS MUST HAVE.
(comment designed for the Boy Wonder one, but the other is awesomecakes topped with awesomesauce as well.)
We're watching the movie
Matilda
which is confusing for my daughter who yells out things like, "Now I'm older" when they cut to the older Movie!Matilda.
But I'm struck by what a romance this is between Matilda and Miss Honey. I mean, I certainly understood that it was about their relationship, but it's really about them falling in love with each other. (Not in the slashy way. But in that student/teacher, friend way.)
