Heh...Daisy Jane, I was *just* on my way to change my tag to "I'll leave things on your wall so obscene, your computer will cry." But I like this one too. Heh...my friends, right there with the vulgarities or stories of corpses left in rowhouses for a week. Do y'all know what I like or what? Of course I'm also on a lj community where someone has an icon titled "invisible flipoff", featuring Emanuel's missing digit. No, it isn't me. But I wish.

I assumed it would go in a more Harriet Beecher Stowe direction.
On urbanedictionary.com, maybe.
I should change mine to "In conclusion: Boo-fucking-hoo"
CJ hit me with a math problem that hurt my brain...
HE multiplied by HE equals SHE. What numbers are being represented?

Jumping to the end: I CLEARED THE MOTHERFUCKING STREET. Onlt took, what 4 hours? I love my neighbors. Going over for wine later. Pictures later.

My dad would argue that deregulation ruined airlines.
I've heard this a lot, though mind you, usually from people who work for airlines. But it maps closely enough to what I've seen in *other* industries that I can't just dismiss it out of hand as sour grapes from workers.
As for telco dereg, the media consolidation that followed wasn't what I'd call a net positive for humanity.
Go you, sarameg!
As for telco dereg, the media consolidation that followed wasn't what I'd call a net positive for humanity.
I will note that usual benefits touted for telco dereg, cell phones, broad band and so forth were achieved in many other nations WITHOUT dereg. Dereg is one path, and a lot of nations took it, but there are other paths that work as well or better. I will note that broadband in the U.S. is slower than in many other nations, and is not available everywhere. Lots of poor rural areas don't have decent broadband available, and a fair number of poor urban areas as well.
