You don't realize how much you talk about something till you feel like you've got to hide it.
Exactly. Not talking about something is not the same as not *being able* to talk about it, or having to lie if asked directly.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I found this out for a fact recently. Well, except the closeted part, since I was asked if my friend C was "no longer in the picture."
Well, an entire church thought amyth and I were dating. Moving in together did not help dispel the rumor.

Heh, yeah. C came to a couple of work happy hours, which, in DC where we both used to live, is just what you do. You invite other people to HH, you go to theirs. That's how I met half the people I knew there. Turns out here, not so much. Plus, I just thought about the fact that we were friends there and then she moved out to Chicago about a year after I did. So I can see where it looked that way.
Made for a funny conversation anyway.
Ah-ha! KCD's middle name is Wayne. That explains much.
Food - what is for lunch today?
Grilled cheese and tomato soup!
I just had a conversation with someone who is interested in the job of my retiring Big Boss. I hope I walked the right line of honest but not slamming anyone.

I will probably ride my bike to downtown Evanston and go to Potbelly and get an Italian sub.
mac and I had sloppy joes with ground turkey meat.
Holy shit, really? The Super Bowl was the most-watched TV show ever: [link]
I actually think people at work assume that I am a closeted lesbian because I am not married and don't really date.
I lost my first job out of college because the Conservative Christian management decided I must be a lesbian and thus not someone they wanted to work with. Before the firing I got a nifty short haircut and was called into the office and lectured on "proper appearance." So getting canned wasn't a huge surprise, and as job losses go, I don't really regret that one. At my current job there are several people out of the closet. We recently held a baby shower for a woman and her wife when they had a baby. I like my current job much better than my first. If anyone here is assuming I'm gay, they're probably shrugging and going on with their lives.
My parents also started making comments about loving me "no matter what," and how my roomie was like a daughter to them after I had the same female roommate for 8 years.
I just realised there's no point making plans for lunch, since today is team appreciation day, and we're being fed. Now all I can do is wonder...with what?
Turns out the guy who was having difficulty typing "exchange" into his browser has a brain tumour. He wasn't able to read things back off his screen to the support guy. So they had his wife work with the support guy instead, and she'd never used a computer before in her life.
That whole configuration confuses me.
