Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

God, I could use a massage. And I say that having never had a professional one. I ache. Thank god for the swimming because I'd be in so much worse shape if I weren't in the shape I am now. I'm seriously stronger than I was this summer.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

And I say that having never had a professional one

Okay, you need to do something about that.

Ooh, I have a Groupon for a massage at the pricy place in the lobby of my building. Should do something about that too.

I totally am using saturday as bargaining chip. They really haven't fleshed out the policy on admin leave for telecommuting. On friday, when admin leave started at 1 pm, they excluded telecommuters from taking it. But they haven't stated what happens on full day admin days. Technically, I should be off the hook, since I don't have a telework agreement, we just fudged friday, calling it an emergency. But I will monitor, as much as I am able.

I am leery of strangers touching me. I know. It's weird.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have an appointment for a massage from a friend next Thursday. That's way weirder than a massage from a complete stranger, to me.

Totally. I only did that once. It was less weird than I thought it would be going in, but still not the totally relaxing thing you want.

I've gotten a couple massages from friends, way less weird for me. But it might be the friends.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I've been trying to make an appointment massage at a place I have a groupon for, and it's been impossible to get in touch with them. It's really irritating.

I think I need to apply the iPod tomorrow when shoveling. I think Lily Allen's Fuck You will fit my mood exactly. OK, need to go find it and recharge now.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I used to get massages from her weekly, but breaking that initial barrier was weird. It took realising that it was less weird for her to make it less weird for me.

I was just never sure how much to zone out--with someone I don't know, I ignore them entirely. But previous massages from friends had been social things, not setups in spas with tables where someone was getting paid.
