Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I used to get massages from her weekly, but breaking that initial barrier was weird. It took realising that it was less weird for her to make it less weird for me.

I was just never sure how much to zone out--with someone I don't know, I ignore them entirely. But previous massages from friends had been social things, not setups in spas with tables where someone was getting paid.

Because books.

I have my first-ever massage scheduled for Tuesday! An hour for $55. One benefit to living in the boonies, I guess.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

All I could think when I saw The Who perform at halftime was Willow's quote from "Band Candy," when all the adults are at the Bronze, acting like teenagers: "I don't like this. They could have heart attacks!"

Unrelatedly, I don't know much about football, but even *I* know that starting the half with an onsides kick is a balls-out game-changer, baby.

In conclusion, screaming chickens.

I love massages.

I am totally worried that I am going to get stuck in DC and not make it home in time for my flight to Oakland on Tuesday morning. Which would be very embarassing. And work-bad. Um.

Current plan is to take MARC train to BWI station, but am unclear whether bus from MARC train to actual airport is running. Nothing says it's NOT, but...that seems to be the only option.

CAN take metro from near where I"m staying to MARC station, but it turns out metro is only running every half hour tomorrow (WTF?) and since it involves a change of trains, that might take like, two hours. So I'm thinking I'll try to cab it. May take a while to find a cab, but...

All this for a flight I'm not sure will even LEAVE...

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Wrt: Undercover Boss, I feel like stuff like that could go two ways, really superficial temporary change, Or changed attitudes toward policymaking, that better take into account the people at the other end of those decisions.

Re: massages, I like the idea but have serious modesty issues. I know, professionalism and all. But I dunno even how to navigate the logistics.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

In conclusion, screaming chickens.

Heh.

meara, I know it is iffy, but if you get stuck in B'more, I've got a spare bed. Of course, I can't get off my street to pick you up somewhere, but...my friend Matt might be able.

I hope you make your flight.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I wonder when my university will open again. We're closed tomorrow, and we're supposed to be getting more snow on Tuesday.

Loki was being a complete brat, begging to go out the front. Since he's limited by snow where he can go, I let him. He bolted down the block and the proceeded to try to get back in at every house but mine. Ungrateful little dork. But is was really funny. He was all "FREEDOM...uh, wait. FREEDOM! Uh...cold and wet. FREEDOM! This is not my beautiful door!"

I can't pick on Devi and Mister Kitty, they have fewer rebound capabilities. Lokis, now, he's a hot mess of impulse and energy. Currently cleaning snow from between his toes.
