OK, between me, 3 other neighbors, a trapped visitor and his 2 adult kids, we cleared maybe 1/2 the street, McKewin to the alley (which the usual crew had cleared.) 20 more feet or so and I can get my car OUT. Not back in, but it is progress. And a friend from around the corner stopped by and he helped too. Plus, he has a truck and has been able to drive around, so if I need a ride somewhere, I've got him.
I'm sore. And need a shower. I've spent over 5 hours shoveling today.
Shower, then laundry. I may head over to above friend & his fiancee's later, I dunno.
Calzones are finished! Ginger ale is fizzed! I am ready! Go Colts!
(And of course, I am on the opposite rooting side from Daisy Jane, my sporting nemesis!) But I must say, I am totally okay with the Saints too. If the Colts have to lose to someone, I`d be honored for it to be to the Saints.
Heather, is it weird that I'm almost crying over Drew Brees' interview with Katie Couric? Stop manipulating me!
While exchanging my shoes, I got complimented on my choice of shoes, got some sun, and walked a couple of miles.
Getting old does suck. Best to you and yours, Perkins.
My car is free. I hope the guy who decides if I have to go to work tomorrow also shoveled all day today so he knows what it feels like.
I'm gonna have to go take pictures tomorrow. Some of the walls and mountains we built are truly impressive. Or maybe appalling. SHITLOADS of snow.
I feel like I've swum 5 miles. And I have a blister. I really hope the Y opens tomorrow because I think it'll help stretch out the kinks.
Making dinner now. Realized not eating all day+ hours and hours of nonstop shoveling= not smart.
Not weird at all Dana. I have been crying all day. This is unbelievable.
I choked up when the Saints came in.
Aw, the one guy on the Saints was wiping away tears during the National Anthem! That choked me up, too.
