Because books.

I don't know what prairiedogging *or* meerkatting is. But the former does sound pr0ny to me.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I don't know what prairiedogging *or* meerkatting is.

Popping your head up over a cubicle wall.

Because books.

Oh! Thank you, Ginger. It's been a long time since I was in an office, I guess.

Although the kitten sometimes pops out of the laundry basket.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Uh...that I've done. Multiple sorts at a time. But I'm a tequila girl. I don't know whiskey from...well, Oban's the only brand I could tell you. I bet it's Plei's fault.

Man, I swear Scotch prices have jumped. I was at the booze store yesterday, and Oban at inflated WA prices (California, you are lucky) was almost $70. It used to be our $50 staple.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

At least if your bill is a crazy high estimate, you won't have to pay next month.

I went for--I shit you not--seven months without having to pay a gas bill when I switched from estimated to metered.

In other news, talk of rum has me craving a Dark-n-Stormy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I need to see how much the Oban goes for at the local supermarket. Hmm. I don't think I'm every going to be a whiskey girl, but that was quite tasty.

I almost picked up some Grey Goose on my way out. It seemed sensibly priced in comparison, but I realised I'd be reaction shopping. Then again, GG is my vodka of choice for gimlets, and they always raise the price when they mix with it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That is the thing with liquor -- even the most overpriced is so much cheaper in a store than in a bar, it's easily justified.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Do they have Oban at your TJs or Costco? It might be cheaper at either of those places.

Our wings are not tired.

Exactly. What Hec, JZ and Megan and I threw back on Friday night was pennies compared to what it would have cost to have those drinks in a bar.

And I remember going out with Megan to a show in SF and ordering G&Ts and both of us sat there with "this was $10?" looks on our faces with our noses scrunched up in disgust.
