Because books.

What is your ringtone?

Mine is the new Panic! song, but now I really, really want it to be "Tubular Bells". Damn.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Which apparently every other iPhone user also likes, because when I hear it in the office I see about fifteen people reach for their phones.

the default ringtones for the iPhone are, by and large, crap. what I don't understand is why they won't let you do custom text message notifications. I had to change my text message notification sound from the "bloo-oop" sound to the ding, but still pretty common.

Aw man, I have to miss the finger pointing meeting. And I was in the mood for some good schadenfreude.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have the stupid default t-mobile ring because I can't figure out how to change it. When I had a different phone where it was easier, I used Weird Al's White and Nerdy. Until it rang on the bus, where I was one of the only white people, so I was embarrassed and changed it.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Cool. I just used hotwire for a car rental for the first time and I got Hertz (which is nice because I've never seen extra fees like the ones at DFW).

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

On my old phone I had "Axel F" as my ringtone for callers without ID, but I haven't set that up on my new phone yet.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

What is your ringtone?

Enter Sandman.

Nor separate sounds for various email accounts. That drives me nuts. Since I have to put in a passcode pretty much every time I pick up the thing just to see if I've got mail, and the mail envelop doesn't indicate a difference in email accounts...it's the ONE thing I really miss from my old Treo.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I used Weird Al's White and Nerdy. Until it rang on the bus, where I was one of the only white people, so I was embarrassed and changed it.

Please tell me you changed to Pretty Fly for a White Guy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

One of the developers here has a child's laugh as his ringtone. I have no idea if it's his kid, but it makes me smile every time it goes off.

I debate switching my ring profile to something less geeky for work, but it doesn't ring often, and unlike everyone else in my teams, I don't bring it into meetings.

Besides, I like the confidence of knowing that when it rings, that's my phone. No default ringtones for me--not even any ringtones off the phone's menu.
