Our wings are not tired.

what I don't understand is why they won't let you do custom text message notifications. I had to change my text message notification sound from the "bloo-oop" sound to the ding, but still pretty common.

Nor separate sounds for various email accounts. That drives me nuts. Since I have to put in a passcode pretty much every time I pick up the thing just to see if I've got mail, and the mail envelop doesn't indicate a difference in email accounts...it's the ONE thing I really miss from my old Treo.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I used Weird Al's White and Nerdy. Until it rang on the bus, where I was one of the only white people, so I was embarrassed and changed it.

Please tell me you changed to Pretty Fly for a White Guy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

One of the developers here has a child's laugh as his ringtone. I have no idea if it's his kid, but it makes me smile every time it goes off.

I debate switching my ring profile to something less geeky for work, but it doesn't ring often, and unlike everyone else in my teams, I don't bring it into meetings.

Besides, I like the confidence of knowing that when it rings, that's my phone. No default ringtones for me--not even any ringtones off the phone's menu.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

What is your ringtone?

"Future Proof," by Massive Attack.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Not being embarassed if it went off inappropriately was a key factor in my song choice. Edit: I mean, because I would be embarassed enough at the inappropriate phone-ringing, so I needed to make sure the ring itself wouldn't make things worse.

giraffe mode

Our HR guy's personal phone ringtone is an old school sonar ping. Everyone knows his phone is ringing.

I switch between the Addam's Family and the Man From UNCLE. My blackberry - which is employer provided - is Suicide is Painless (it's never good news when it rings)

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I still need to figure out how to get custom ringtones on my BlackBerry. Or I could wait until May and get a new phone.

Because books.

Ailleann had to walk me through making and uploading the Panic! ringtone to my phone. I couldn't do it again by myself if my life depended on it.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

What is your ringtone?

It's been Margaritaville forever. I really think I need to change it one of these days. I let my daughter choose that one.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Mine is "Who Are You" by The Who.
