Zoe: Preacher, don't the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing? Book: Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

Now tagless for your comfort.

flea, I did get another dentist in town to give me a second opinion for free for Liv. I got worried that the pediatric specialist was upselling us, too. I got lucky and a moms' club I belong to had a dentist as a guest speaker. She told me her husband had a practice and would give us a free exam. When I went in, he told me our dentist had done the same kind of work on his own kids, since he didn't do sedation and they also needed extensive work. It made me feel a lot better about getting the work done on my kids.

Also, you've just stated my EXACT feelings about my kids' teeth.

Mother of god, I think I am going to kill one of my teams. Slowly, painfully. I may even let them live just to make them suffer more.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh my god. My boss and the other folk who turned up the problem came to deliver me the bad news in person.

"Wow, you took that better than I expected!"

"I'm sublimating."

Someone dropped the ball big time on oversight, and as a result, it looks like I have to redo a whole HUGE chunk of work I spent all last year doing. And it isn't something I had any control over. We were not charged with vetting the results, that was the team's job. And apparently, they didn't.

And I am completely unsurprised.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

On the pediatric dental stuff, I thought my teeth were fine until high school, when suddenly I had a million cavities, two teeth broke, at least one root canal, etc. I spent many hours (and my parents spent many dollars) at the dentist from probably 16-22, but they've been fine since then. For what that's worth.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'll be wanting visuals to pass the feather boa on to White Collar.

They are really attached for a pair of straight guys. And the wife likes that guy a lot too. It's remarkable. Really.

Flea--damn. I know I was an expensive dental kid, but those processes all sound so grownup. I'd definitely be looking for a second opinion. Or three.

Cashmere...Owen's looking out for you?

Sara, will that team get in trouble? I know it won't make it less work for you, but it might help with the psychic pain.

We are now right next to the support desk. Nice and noisy. Plus there's a bug trap under my desk. And it smells funny. I want my old desk back.

I spent the start of this week thinking next Monday was President's Day. I have been planning for it. Grr. Now I have to replan for next week.

I wish there was some info on this picture: [link]

Like, were the people injured? Killed?

people with kids in school, are schools closed for MLK and President's Day? NYC schools are. The new district in TX? no.

Because books.

We get both up here, but I think schools might have been open MLK Day in PA.
