I battle evil. But I don't really win. The bad keeps coming back and getting stronger. Like that kid in the story, the boy that stuck his finger in the duck.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Does TJ's have name brand fizzy juice?

I think it's all TJ brand.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Trader Joes has become my usual market. That's probably a bit questionable but oh well. Close by. Tasty food. And little cups of coffee for my shopping pleasure.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

TJ's doesn't have my one true cereal, and I can't find a juice there either. I can't even find my juice (Plumsmart) at the Ralphs near me anymore--I get it at the one near work. All the other juices are wrong! Oh, they may be tasty, but they're probably too sour.

After talking about netbooks incessantly at Dana, I finally ordered one. It took me an hour to remember that netbook's going to need a name, and I have no idea what to call it when it arrives.

Edited to add: my first world problems, let me show you them.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'm not sure what happened to my Macbook order, but I hopefully restarted that today. She will be Martha.

My sister is beating me at online Scrabble. I start out so strongly, but she hits the triple words/seven letter scores two thirds of the way there. I'm just not a finisher.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Does Trader Joes sell any fizzy juices? I'm looking for some variety in my drinking day.

BevMo? I'm no fan of their alcoholic selection, but their non seems good...

Sigh. I was all excited when I got home from Hawaii, trying to get shit done before leaving for my trip tomorrow...

But then I found out DC/Bmore is going to have a snowpocalypse, and now I'm afraid I'll get stuck there, and/or not get to do any of the stuff I am supposed to.

And I picked up my new glasses, but they fucked up the order. And I have to send them back. But I didn't realize it until I left.

And I went to this cool new place in my neighborhood where they have lasers and robots and superfast internet and most importantly a sewing machine, so I could sew these patches onto my hoodie...but I was there for almost two hours, while we tried to make the sewing machine work, and couldn't. And they also have this superfancy serger, but it was way too fancy for me to figure out quickly (and it was threaded with ugly colors).

And now it's 12:30AM and my flight leaves at 6:30AM which means I have to leave the house at 5AM. And I'm not packed. At all. AAAAARGH.

Librarian Warlord

Safe travels, meara!

This storm is also screwing up our plans. We were going down to my parents' house this weekend to visit, with DH returning to DC on Sunday evening because he is going to Vienna for a week. I was going to head home on Tuesday. At least the DH will still be around to help shovel us out - I guess that's good, anyway.

My office was 58 degrees this morning when I came in. It has now soared to 59. I think I need to make some trouble with building services.

hip deep in pie

I am still having tummy troubles and yet I am at work. I thought I was feeling better, but once I starting moving, I started cramping up again. I should probably go home. My problem is that I have a dentist appointment that I just want to get over with, but it's not for another three hours.
