But then what does she call "Train"?
She hasn't seen that one yet.
Her requests are like this: "I want the happy Pink song. I want the sad Pink. I want the Other Pink. I want the Noodle sad song ("Feel Good, Inc." by Gorillaz). I want Noodle dancing ("Dare" - Gorillaz.) I want the song where they throw paper balls at the bad boy ("16 Military Wives" - Decemberists).
Has she seen Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer" video? I wonder what she'd call that....
Well, she has good taste.
Much more developed than Emeline's taste these days. Joe played her Aqua's "Barbie Girl" and now that's all she wants. When she gets it, she dances her Barbie's on the kitchen table.

Does that ping your feminist sensibilities? (I'm not familiar with that song.)
No. I've come to realize I don't have any. Besides, hard to yell about a song that was on my playlist because I like it.
To get feministically upset about "Barbie Girl" you'd have to take the song more seriously than I think the singers are.
I imagine "Bratz Girl" would be worse if it existed.
I can't take "Barbie Girl" as having anything to do with the dolls. For one thing, the song's Ken sounds like he actually has a sex drive.
Firefly and Victorian Fantastic Four action figures
Following the link - I love the Victorian and Gaslight superheroes! But I was expecting Steampunk Mal and Inara, and there were no Firefly figures - at least not a Firefly I'm familiar with. *pout*
