I love my VW Jetta V6 to absolute pieces, but since they don't make it anymore I a) can't recommend it for purchase and b) will get it repaired every time.

My cousin and her husband really like their VW Passat TDI, but they might just put up with random little things to fix in exchange for the mileage. Don't know.
I feel like my friends who've had VWs through the years were always having to get random little things fixed on them. It totally, possibly irrationally, has taken any VW off of my possible future car list.
My boss has had a number of issues with her Rabbit in the last year, after only having had it for three or four years. It's to the point where she's thinking of selling it and getting something else, definitely not a VW.
Another good thing about that fuel economy site is that it gives the economy of everything using 2008 EPA ratings so you can compare apples vs. apples with used cars.
Oh, msbelle. I'm sorry you can't run away.
But I am now willing to try fancy-schmancy cocktails made with gin, so I may be stepping back from my Gin = Ew stance.
Sure, you're willing to try them but you always make the EWWWW face when you do. It's cute.
I am pretty sure I am taking a personal day tomorrow. I may just get drunk tonight after he goes to sleep.
I just searched a bit to see if the Gus Raley I found last night actually exists, but there seems to be nothing anywhere besides that one comment and the LinkedIn profile. I found some birth, marriage, and divorce records for a Guy Straley of about the right age, but those seemed kind of irrelevant even if it is the right guy.
We have an '07 Mazda 3 hatchback that we adore like the precious that it is. The mileage isn't up there with hybrids, but it's good for a gas-only car, and it's a solid and handy critter.
The fact that I, let's just say, STRONGLY SUSPECT WITH NO ACTUAL PROOF that it might be persuaded to go way faster than any of my past cars if I were to ask it to is just a bonus.
(But seriously, in neither room nor handling does it feel like a compact critter. And it's purty. And fits multiple fencing bags, although that's of less relevance to people who are not me.)
I have a couple other friends with Mazda 3s, and they love them.
