Wash: So, two days in a hospital? That's awful. Don't you just hate doctors? Simon: Hey. Wash: I mean, present company excluded. Jayne: Let's not be excluding people. That'd be rude.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am pretty sure I am taking a personal day tomorrow. I may just get drunk tonight after he goes to sleep.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just searched a bit to see if the Gus Raley I found last night actually exists, but there seems to be nothing anywhere besides that one comment and the LinkedIn profile. I found some birth, marriage, and divorce records for a Guy Straley of about the right age, but those seemed kind of irrelevant even if it is the right guy.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

We have an '07 Mazda 3 hatchback that we adore like the precious that it is. The mileage isn't up there with hybrids, but it's good for a gas-only car, and it's a solid and handy critter.

The fact that I, let's just say, STRONGLY SUSPECT WITH NO ACTUAL PROOF that it might be persuaded to go way faster than any of my past cars if I were to ask it to is just a bonus.

(But seriously, in neither room nor handling does it feel like a compact critter. And it's purty. And fits multiple fencing bags, although that's of less relevance to people who are not me.)

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I have a couple other friends with Mazda 3s, and they love them.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

The 3, which was a leading contender when we were car shopping in '07, lost out because the raised center console thing made me feel trapped and freaky. Also, it had road noise issues.

Pity, because it had the nicest blue of the cars we were looking at.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

ahahaha. In light of the conversation about "But Jilli's famous!": Pete just emailed me to remind me to watch what I say on Twitter. I think he's overreacting because he knows the back story of my cryptic comment about clueless questions, but having him type "You're a celebrity, and you have to be careful what you say" was funny.

Our wings are not tired.

Jess, from wayyyyy back:

In terms of who's changed, well - Javachik, remember in LA when you said I was one of the kindest Buffistas and it took everyone within earshot (including myself) a good five minutes to stop laughing? Heh. Yeah. (In my defense, I was 21 years old when I joined TT. I've grown up a little.)

That was funny. I still smile when I think of it.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Y'all have been very chatty, haven't you? (Almost 600 new messages since last night, though most of it was talk about booze and/or internet kerfuffles)
