I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

There are no 777s in sight of this basement right now. There are tiny planes with two seats on each side, no overhead room, and stale air. I had to sit cranked to the side the whole time on my previous flight, because the guy next to me had shoulders too wide to fit in his seat. And his legs spread, because of course guys have to sit with their legs spread as wide as possible.

I am actually in a fairly good mood right now, except for the pony thing. And in like three hours, I will have a shrift.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Stephanie, my sister drives a VW Jetta for her 56 mile commute and it sips gas. And it has butt warmers!

Coding and Sleeping

Diesel might be a good option with all that highway travel, a lot of the hybrid advantages are lost without city driving. VW's really the only game in town for that.

lisah, mine too. I think even the weather reporters are losing it.

Congrats, Stephanie!

hip deep in pie

I think the weather world is turvy topsy because all that snow you guys are getting, we're getting as rain.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Has Toyota fixed all the issues cropping up left and right?

Aren't they in doggy doo doo for lying? I thought they had a lot of catching up to do.

And his legs spread, because of course guys have to sit with their legs spread as wide as possible.

Not enough fear of an imminent crotch punch. I do my best to heighten awareness, but it doesn't seem to be enough.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah if you`re mostly highway you might look for the thing where it automatically changes down from, say 6 cylinders to 4 once you`re up at highway speeds and cruising. You can tell I have no idea what I`m talking about here because I don`t know what it`s called. All I know is that hybrids are impractical for my driving because I never brake, thus never transferring any energy.

On TT I maintain all those threads weren`t our fault! There were the weird airing schedules so we had to have the separate show threads. Plus it wasn`t even a Buffista who started Spike`s Bitches, we just sort of co-opted it. Yeah. We probably were a little annoying. But that`s totally not why we spun off. Pay to play was a big culture shift for TT. And I for one am grateful for the community values that allowed us to exist on donations. I could not have afforded it on TT. And though I hope I`ve earned my keep in other service to the boards, I am so thankful to have had you in my life all those years.

Thrive to spite them

My brother and SIL just bought a new car they needed something with good gas mileage and they ended up buying a diesel. They do a lot of driving on highways.

Can't remember the make or model though.

Edited - nope they bought a Saab. But they were looking at a used Jetta diesel.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

VW's really the only game in town for that.

Yeah, VW has some diesels with amazing fuel economy. Sadly, many of their diesel models are not available in the US. (Anyone know which models are?)
