Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

My brother was bitten by an aardvark.

(technically, and anteater, but aardvark is close enough and more fun to type.)

I was off rum for a while after a run in with bad fish followed by rum and cokes, but over that now.

Because books.

I agree. Uh, with the stuff about SoCo.

I have very few opinions on aardvarks.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm told the first recorded game involved angry monks. Seriously.

That sounds alcohol-based to me.

Aren't monks responsible for some liquors? Chartreuse, I think, and probably others. Go team drunk monk!

Isn't the alcohol kind of a given in Scotland, or is that just my extended family?

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

What cocktails are tasty with gin in them? I should branch out from the gimlet some day.

Might I suggest the Scarlet Fever?

Fever-Tree Gin and Tonic
--1 jigger (50 ml) gin.
--A balloon glass.
--Fresh ice, at least four big cubes. Clear cubes from spring water if possible.
--Fever-Tree tonic water from the fridge.
--Lime, a curl of the rind of a lime. It's the oils you want not the flesh (or a slice if you must).

Scarlet Fever
Mix as for gin and tonic, but add a splash of Campari. Try a wedge of lemon this time.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

seems to have been a winter version of golf

I have a similar theory about the invention of golf, actually. Only the dialogue in my head goes more like "Dude! How much do you want to bet I can thwack this rock way over there!"

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Tequila tastes like hairspray! Ew.

(I know, my opinion is suspect, for I like Fernet, absinthe, AND chartreuse.)

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Does Southern Comfort have a reason to exist aside from regrettable high school memories and, possibly, the invention of curling?
