I remember posting entries on TVTropes too, when it first started. It was very strange when it became this HUGE thing that took over the internet.
Natter 65: Speed Limit Enforced by Aircraft
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Yeah, this paragraph is still not true:
"Every time something came up about TV in a Salon story, there was this group that would go on these rampages about Buffy. Eventually we moved our community away so as not to bug everybody." That group, which included the TV Tropes cofounders, migrated to Buffistas, a site where people could discuss the show to their heart's content.
Hmmph.
But I'm letting it go, I swear. Because it's board drama, and has nothing to do with what tvtropes provides to the net at large.
Oh, but it was such board drama. It is hard to let go. Was Gus hiding a Fast Eddie this whole time, starting up the board in what he claimed was his house, but it was really Eddie? That's the version with the least lying in it, right? It's just all so confusing.
Annalee did point out I could go over to tvtropes and just ask Fast Eddie who the hell he was (so not her words).
I wonder if any of my original entries are still up over there.
I can't even remember what entries I made! I did bump into tv tropes during a vanity google a couple months ago, and they only pay the most tentative of lip service to "ita moon" having anything to do with me, so you know, I should either correct it or shun them entirely.
Still deciding.
It's just all so confusing.
Indeed.
Yeah, I wouldn't be able to remember either.
Huh. That's so weird to be responsible for building a big chunk of the backbone over there. I never go there or think about it any more.
But I'm letting it go, I swear.
Tell me how? I swear I want to just ignore it and let it drift off, ignored. But it gets all confusing in my head.
I never go there or think about it any more.
I never go there. But it'll get brought up and then I think to much. And find it hard to explain to those people Not Us why I don't go there. I don't even posit that they shouldn't, just that I don't.
Ugh, board drama.
Reading the beginning of Bureau 1 is kind of charming. It like you moved in and before you were even done unpacking you needed a new Natter thread.
Reading the beginning of Bureau 1 is kind of charming.
Plus Zoe.
You guys, I've been reading some of Bureau 1 too.
Some of you have changed. A lot.
Plus Zoe.
Not there yet. Besides, I was around for that.
