I keep calling my family adn we have nothing new to even talk about regarding the house, but I keep calling.
When I was in the process of buying this house, my sister and I would call each other constantly just to squee over how perfect it all was. (And to complain about what an idiot the realtor was.)
When my older brother was buying his first house, we talked all the time about the buying process. I remember his exasperation over the seller holding things up because of a dispute over $20.
Too many people have already made me think "WTF, People" this morning, and I'm still on my first cup of coffee.
I already had to tell my boss that I had pledged to have a good attitude today and he was TRYING MY PATIENCE! ha! I'm still doing okay though.
OK, I will hypothesize that "a split" is in the Northeast, "the splits" elsewhere.
I should be working on my attitude, but it's haaaaard.
Jesse, I will skew your hypothesis by saying "a split". "The splits" is weird.
OK, how about: "the splits" is the Midwest, "a split" is elsewhere?
I've never heard "a split."
I've never heard "a split."
I've never heard of "the splits"? What does this mean?
It's the same thing -- on the ground with your legs all the way out. In a googlefight, "do the splits" won by a lot over "do a split." [link]
Thanks for conducting this research, Jesse. This has been bugging me for years.
