Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

'Underneath'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

information libertarian

I don't know much about Ed degrees - I have a BA, and MA (in Classics, soooo useful!) and an MLIS.

Toddson, indeed. Rather different eras, IIRC, but I am sure we share Bruni and Machteld among others.

Our wings are not tired.

I didn't think I'd be interested in getting a Master's, but the head of our English program at UoL told me it would be very sad if I didn't pursue it. Huh. (I did want to, at one point, but ever since I passed the last exams last May, I've not ever wanted to study ever again ever.)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Sad for whom?

Zen, I think she meant for me. And I think she meant it as a compliment--that English studies were definitely my True Luff.

I'm just projecting my issues, javachik! My mentor in anthropology told me it would be a shame and a waste of my potential if I didn't get a Ph.D. I hated college and couldn't imagine surviving grad school, so I didn't go.

Glad it's solvable, Sox.

Stress kills. If we could only weaponize it somehow...

Good to hear, Sox. Also, my parents knew about Uncle S.

Raging headache. 4pm on a Friday is a reasonable time to stop working, right? I'm going to take a Tylenol and a decongestant and go back to bed. This will ensure that my sister calls me just as I'm falling asleep.
