Shit's all sorts of different now.

I know I am!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ditto.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

hivemind - I need to get the food order in for our party. This is an after-work party, it will be dinner for people. Food is platters of finger food. The bar is recommending 5 pieces/person or the meat/heartier things (beef/shrimp skewers, chicken tenders, veggie rolls). I am thinking 10-12. thoughts?

How long is the party? Generally the rule is 2-3 pieces per person per hour for cocktails, 4-5 pp for dinner.

Depends on the size, I think -- if the skewer etc. is bigger than than a typical finger food -- multiple bites of meat -- than you wouldn't need as many.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Generally the rule is 2-3 pieces per person per hour for cocktails, 4-5 pp for dinner.

That's the rule of thumb I tend to use, and I *always* have food left over.

Dana, IM is rejecting me, or at least my protocols, this morning. Boo!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Dana, IM is rejecting me, or at least my protocols, this morning. Boo!

Curses!

Someone in our department who went to grad school in Texas just stopped by my office to make sure I was coping with the weather.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, Dana has already self-identified. Can everyone else who wears holiday-themed clothing please stand up so I can look at you funny? Also, please state which holidays you observe sartorially.

Thank you. This will help my HTML-editty morning pass much more smoothly.

The only holiday-themed clothing I wear are socks that my mother buys for me, and usually only when I have no other clean socks. I admit a certain fondness for the candy corn socks, though.
