It's freezing in the office today. I have a full length leather coat that I wore in, but that's a bit much to wear around the office. But since it doesn't look like the afternoon sun will be warming my cube, I may have to use it. My poor hands.
Our office is too. Everyone's wearing coats. The story from building mgmt is that "Due to the design of the building HVAC system, it takes a bit longer to heat up after such a cold weekend." But, they are offering warm coffee tomorrow morning so we should all be fine.
Seriously?
We have super high ceilings in our office, 12 ft or so. Somehow, even though the thermostat is at person level, it's always off several degrees. So right now it says 72 but it's more like 65.
Okay, ready to go home now. My four hrs of sleep is starting to tell. And after this I have two hrs of therapy, then a quick trip to the grocery store, then another quick stop to buy some Xmas gifts (I know exactly what I want), then to a bellydance event. Thankfully, it's all within about 6 blocks of each other, including my house, but I won't get home until about 10 pm, probably.
Unrelated question for the hivemind.
Where can I buy a decent (i.e., not super cheap, but not too expensive either) tiara for a 5-year-old girl? Online would be better than stores, but I'll brave a store if it doesn't require driving.
Ugh. Cold. Tired. Need to grade.
Also I should post in LJ about taking the kids to Disneyland soon, before I forget all the details. Short version = fun, but we aren't going back until kids are old enough that I can guarantee I get to ride on Pirates and the Haunted Mansion.

Some kind of kiddie pageant site?

My old office had that -- hot on summer Mondays, cold on winter Mondays. And then varying mostly uncomfortable temperatures the other days.
OK, now I need help: I have to write something about things I was responsible for in two categories: the ones I totally did myself, and the ones my reports did. What do I call the second category?
megan, you can usually find them for cheap-ish on eBay, and there's a jewelry store on Haight (just down the block from the Aub Zam Zam and across the street from the Booksmith) that usually has a few to choose from.
eta: Girls' tiaras on ebay right now.
eBay has been my tiara haven.
I have a premonition I don't want to have, because it's not going to skew the week well, that this week will suck migraine-wise because I didn't clear up last week's one properly. I'm already under the weather, and the cold discomfort isn't helping. I'd love a lunchtime liedown in my car, but cold! I wonder if I have enough layers down there to make it work.
Fans warm air out and about to those in need. (85.8°F per wunderground)
