I have to get ready to go to DH's company Christmas party, sans DH, who is in Vegas. I don't mind it so much since there are some cool people who work with him that I can hang out with. Plus, kid-free evening with free drinks!
Natter 64: Yes, we still need you
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
this playdate today was ugh. they kept getting out of control. the boy over asked for food 3 times and he did something that knocked the tivo remote off a table and it busted open and one part went missing. he's gone home now and the remote is all back together and working after 3 tries.
I really really want to get the tree up tonight, and I want mac in bed early.
Enjoy, Cash!
I would like David's Moroccan stew and Sue's blueberry pie right now.
I am being merciless with myself re: what I'm actually going to schlep to the new place. Goodwill is getting a haul tomorrow. Clothes mostly. Seriously, if it's too big, you don't want to be able to wear it again. Unless you're going to have it tailored, which, really? Have you met you?
Bleh on the bad playdate.
I have utterly failed at doing any of the ginourmous pile of work I should probably get done this weekend, which means I will probably be spending all day at the office tomorrow, but I did pull my (PINK!) Christmas tree out of storage and started the process of trying to make Ditaboo completely afraid of going near it.
I don't expect the last part to work at all, but seeing her pout at me is fun.
mac fell asleep on the couch with me watching tv. he is now is bed half an hour earlier than I was planning. go team fatigue.
Babysitter is late and I haven't showered yet.
Snow was kinda uhg. Slushy and blowy and unavoidable. But I shopped and I really need winter boots because slush in the sketchers sucks. Then I came down with a horrific headache on the way home and lay on the couch trying not to move for an hour. Roused to go to the pool, and miraculously, the headache went away. Came home and cleaned the upstairs, and now the headache is trying to come back. Pretty sure it is the weather.
My friend took me to the mall, which was exciting, because it meant no dealing with weather for me! (Aside from taking the bus to their house in the rain.) Driving back in the blizzard was exciting. A blizzard is about wind, right? Because there's not a lot accumulating, but it was blowing horizontal.
Also, somehow when I wasn't looking, I guess someone moved in across the hall? I can't figure out when that would have happened, since I barely leave the house! And I imagine it would have been loud enough for me to notice? Huh.
Maybe it was over TG, which would be around the first of the month?
Maybe -- I was out all day on the Friday, so that could be. Confusing! And maybe he was the goodlooking guy I saw at the front door earlier. I swear I'm the only woman in this building.
