My manager and anyone who bothers to look at my Outlook calendar (not nearly enough of them) can find my home/cell number (same thing). I work from home one day a week and need to be callable, so my number is there in my "working from home" block.

They rarely use it. I'm obsessive about keeping on top of my email, and I encourage people to use that. It has the bonus of leaving a trail, so I can look things up and say, "In your email on 11/21 you said you'd get foo to me by yesterday. How's that coming?"

Work has my home number (as a major emergency number, not a minor work emergency contact) but they don't know I have a cell; just as well since I never answer it. In this day and age, I expect just giving one number wouldn't raise eyebrows.

Work has our phone numbers for an emergency phone tree. My coworker accidentally called me at home one morning and was mortified (she had my # in her cell and was delayed at the doctor, and I happened to be home because I was working the night). But I didn't mind at all. Also when there's a shooter on the loose, the Uni calls my cell (this has happened TWICE this year. Both murder-suicides, as it turned out.)

If it was bosses, that's another matter. At my former job I was supposed to call my boss at home if I was calling in sick (I was first in and opened up) and I *hated* doing that. Cut down on "mental health days," I tell you what.

So, I just emailed the coworker with the Glade Plugin about it, after conferring with the other person who works here and confirming that she hates it too. The problem is, it stinks NOW, Plugin coworker isn't in yet, and I cannot FIND the damn thing to turn it off! Where has she hidden it?? It is driving me craxy!

I forgot to put on make-up this morning. Scared co-workers are cowering in corners. must grab back-up make-up at work and quickly get to a bathroom. yikes.

Work has my cell phone and they have input it into a system where I get automatic calls from the school itself and also from the superintendent et al. Annoying!

Then again, I barely answer my phone so not that annoying.

Tickets are now purchased for Seattle in February. YAY. They were $100 RT which seemed pretty good.

Work has all of my phone numbers, but they don't use them inappropriately. Mostly. My boss did text me at 6pm on the Friday I was physically in the middle of moving, but I just didn't write back. Cell numbers get passed around when we're meeting up at 7am somewhere not our office, which happens several times a year.

Oh, here's a work-related poll question: After meetings (and she's said this is what she does for interviews), she likes to send an email and a paper thank-you note. The email says a formal note will follow. Is this good practice, or overkill?

I at least put on some foundation. I know my face looks ok, but I do not look like I normally look at work, not bad, just different. My eyes disappear.

I am working on day 3 of crankiness for no solid reason. It is bugging me and bringing me down and I keep trying to shake it and fake a better outward mood, but the crank is clinging.
