"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

But how great they found each other!

That's the happy ending.

My friend Pat was adopted and her birth mother tracked her down. The birth mother was so needy and neurotic that it turned out to be a big problem for her, and Pat had to work hard to set boundaries with her.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

For the steampunk toddler in your life.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

For the steampunk toddler in your life.

Heh. I was just looking at that earlier.

There really aren't any steampunk toddler in my life. Perhaps I should change that?

"Steampunk Toddler Army" could be a band name....

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I was trying to wait for the new Good Riddance thread, but I just can't any more. I got my gift yesterday! Yay slacking! Lovely Fernet and a book Cooking with Fernet Branca, which I actually thought was a cookbook for a second, but looks really entertaining. I'm saving it for the trip to Florida with my mother next week, because I'm sure I'll need a laugh or two. Also, warm socks from Alaska with POLAR BEARS ON THEM. And a polar bear keychain that I might have to put on my work keys so that I can just jingle it when someone is annoying me and know that I'm really calling them a polar bear :) oh, oh, and SOAP. Beautiful handmade soaps in sweet nectar and honey, oats, and creme that smell really good. THANK YOU DREW!!!!!!!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This afternoon, I'm going to my mother's office for some interesting-sounding talk, which should be fun. I just told my boss I'll be out, so I'm sure she thinks I have an interview. A little psychological tactic....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's cheating, isn't it, to go up to the executive floor and take the nice tea bags? But green tea with mango is nummier than anything we have down here.

I'm wearing a short skirt today. My primary concern is ripping my tights. My secondary concern is appearing a hussy. It has been forever since I've shown this much (albeit betighted) leg above the knee.

What's the talk about, Jesse?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Embrace your inner hussy, ita!

A book about Title IX, I think. I dunno, my mom gave me an excuse to get out of the house, so I took it!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

There are rumors that the NYS legislature will pass a bill allowing gay marriage today.
