I've got today off--yay! Leaving for the vet's in ten minutes for a claw trimming (wish the damn cat would sit still and let me do it, but even the vet tech needs to have assistance due to her squirming), then I come home and work on my forms for graduate school so I can head down and register this afternoon. After I get home, I'll be putting together my tree.
Natter 64: Yes, we still need you
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Well, now you're a sexy looking weirdo and you've got us.
Years of therapy, and you fixed all my self-esteem problems with one sentence!
I kinda wondered about my appearance in relation to my family and look where that ended up
Not meaning to pry, ND, but you say that as if it's common knowledge, so may I ask, where did that end up?
the winner: "freckles."
Freckles? A kink? Seriously? Nobody ever better try that with me.
I wanna get a dog, just so I can get The Canine Treadmill.
There was an Amarna lookalike wanting to be adopted at the vet's office! Same age she was when I adopted her back in 2004, all black and sleek, rubbing against the bars of the cage and mewing in the most appealing way. Nismo was oh so adorable! But I turned my back on her and the other kitties (there was a grey kitten who was heartbreaking cute, too!!) to get my bitching cat from the vet tech.

I don't think ND would mind if I said. He found out he was adopted as an adult. He was actually on the board posting about it as he figured it out.
I had to reschedule the Dr. appt. I hit a delay and was gonna be late and they said they could not just move people up and allow me in later. poop.
Now at work, really need to make up for doing almost nothing the last 2 days.
Thanks, Hec. That had to have been a shock.
I think I figured out the answer to my own mystery, a few years ago. I'm thinking of making it into a movie for Lifetime.

EM totally had a story that was a Lifetime movie. Or actually more like The Parent Trap.
She went to a camp every summer that she was growing up and there was one girl, let's call her Suzie, who she'd known for many years. When she got to camp for the summer she said hello to Suzie and asked her how the year went. And the girl acted like she didn't know her and had never met her and insisted her name was Janet.
Janet asked why everybody kept calling her Suzie. They found Suzie. She and Janet were identical twins put up for adoption at birth, and Janet was just going to this camp for the first time.
The girls bonded and became obsessed with finding their birth mother. They tracked her down in the Manhattan office building where she worked. She came down the lobby, saw the two girls, recognized instantly what was happening and ran back into the elevator and away. She wanted nothing to do with them.
That's amazing.
