Comcast were the ones who said when they installed the DVR for me "Oh, you've had Tivo? You'll like this so much better."
LIES.

That's funny.
I can't remember what cable company I had in MD, but I did prefer their DVR to TiVo, notably for being able to navigate what's stored while watching something else.
tommy, thank you for the Krampus shirt link! My ex loves Krampus, and may still have a website devoted to it. It will make an excellent Christmas present for a very-hard-to-buy-for eccentric person.
So, my coworker pulled out a Glade Plugin after our staff meeting and said, "I hope anyone doesn't mind, but I thought it would be nice..."
Oh, god. I don't even give people a chance anymore. "I'm allergic. Yes, I know it smells good to you. Me, it feels like it's clawing my sinuses out. Please remove it or I'll drop my used kleenex on your desk."
Most Glade products are the equivalent of spraying teargas at anyone with a fragrance allergy who walks by.
And once again, Ginger says it better.
Comcast sucks. It's important to remember this. Especially when your satellite tv goes blank in the middle of a show because it's raining. Yes, Comcast is worse than that.
notably for being able to navigate what's stored while watching something else.
Can you not do that with TiVo? What the hell, TiVo. I love my DVR.
I might use Comcast again, just to avoid the whole "oh, it's raining again" problem, if I could use a decent DVR. The one they gave me the last time I tried to "hook up" with them was a total piece of shit.
P.-C., what's your DVR? Do you use it with Comcast?
I've had issues with DVRs in the past, but my current one has lasted a while. I think when I first got one, I had to replace it twice within a month or two. But that's when they were really new.

Yep. Motorola DVR from Comcast.
notably for being able to navigate what's stored while watching something else.
Oh yeah, that's lame.
I also find the constant bee-boop really annoying. But maybe TiVo users find it really endearing.
Can you not do that with TiVo? What the hell, TiVo.
Not that I could ever figure out.
When I moved and switched to TiVo was when I realize just how ADD my TV watching had become.
