The former CEO of our company quit unexpectedly; we found out a couple months later that he'd been diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob. It was pretty awful; he was a good guy. Scary, indeed.

I just made meat pies with leftover beef and mushroom stew and leftover turkey. I used a pate brisee instead of a pie crust as I don't have shortening. They smell AMAZING.
