Huh. So that extra money I was all freaked out about? It was definitely a special extra something. But the description? Isn't in the list of abbreviations. So maybe it was a bonus. Not sure how to ask my boss. Probably subtly check with HR, since I'm friends with a couple of them.

stirring

And stirring and stirring and stirring and...

Woot!! Extra money = good!

Speaking of extra money -- I'm getting a UPS shift this afternoon! (With a woman driver/supervisor, too!) Only for a couple hours, which is fine because I figure I have to build up my endurance anyway.

Plus it's in the Back Bay and the pickup point is only blocks away from the contracting firm long-shot interview I have two hours earlier, so I can go hang out in the library in Copley Square inbetween and be unruffled and unhurried.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Or you can come to my house! Actually, I'm expecting UPS today, so maybe you can come to my house either way...

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I want to go to Jesse's house!

Is it weird that I am actually looking forward to going back to work? It helps that this is going to be sort of a boondoogle day--I am going up to SF because the head librarian for the firm will be there, so I have a 20 minute meeting with her, then we get to go out to lunch at a really good restaurant (the Slanted door), then I get to meet JZ and megan walker for drinks after work.

Heh. You know, I really might indeed be on that very delivery run! I'll check through the packages to be sure. I know the driver has Newbury Street... so I should be close, anyway!

That would be kind of hilarious! Good luck with the interview!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Unsalted butter- it is way better for cooking, IMHO. It's just as easily available in stores around here as salted butter.

I grew up with salted butter but converted to unsalted when I joined forces with Tom.

When we actually put something on a piece of bread or bagel or whatnot, we use the buttery spread which has a nice flavor to it, I assume it's lightly salted.

Too bad UPS typically won't actually come up to my apartment... and actually, I think UPS is usually a guy. I have gotten more stuff mail order in the past month than I did in years in my old place. Being at home makes it much more appealling!

My boss just came in to ask why on earth I was in at 8 am.

I'm tarnishing my reputation. Or setting up unreasonable expectations.

Ok, they know me better than that....
